Information we collect
When you register, we collect session choices, name, affiliation (independent is accepted), international phone number, email, language, evening hosting interest, optional session idea and required registration/privacy acknowledgement. Contact fields are required to process registration. We record session statuses, consent choices and timestamps, staff corrections, and email delivery records. We also send a browser-security verification token to check that the submission is made by a real person.
If you allow it, Google Analytics may collect usage information such as pages viewed, device or browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. If you allow marketing, Google advertising services may also record which campaign brought you here and may use that to show you advertising elsewhere.
Neither runs unless you say so. Analytics and advertising are switched off when you arrive and stay off until you answer the cookie question, and you can allow analytics without allowing advertising. The Cookie Policy lists every service and how to change your answer.
Why we use it
- To manage registrations, session capacities, waitlist decisions, receipts, corrections, cancellations and material festival updates
- To protect registration from spam, fraud, and automated submissions
- To understand how the website is used and improve the festival website
- To meet legal, accounting, or security obligations when they apply
Services that help us run the site
We use service providers to host and protect the website and to operate registration:
- Cloudflare for website hosting and the Turnstile security check
- The existing Digital Nomads Incheon Supabase project for registration, consent, audit and delivery records; Resend for transactional receipts and status updates from the existing verified sender
- Google Tag Manager (container
GTM-KFDTRCDM), which loads and controls the measurement tags below. It uses Google Consent Mode v2, so nothing is stored on or read from your device until you agree - Google Analytics 4 (
G-HPKZBW4J6Q) for site measurement, only if you allow Analytics - Google advertising services for campaign measurement and personalised advertising, only if you allow Marketing
These providers may process information in countries outside the Republic of Korea as part of their global services. We do not sell your personal information. We do run paid campaigns for the festival, so if — and only if — you allow Marketing, Google advertising services may use your visit to measure those campaigns and to show you festival advertising elsewhere. Declining costs you nothing: registration, the programme and every part of the site work exactly the same either way.
How long we keep it
We keep registration, consent, audit and delivery information only as long as needed to operate the event, communicate material updates, handle requests and meet legal obligations. We then delete or anonymise it where practical. Security and technical logs may be kept for a shorter period required to protect the service.
Your choices and rights
Workation-information consent is optional and unchecked by default. Declining it does not affect registration or subscribe you to workation information. Existing email-only waitlist records remain separate; this release does not automatically register or email those people. Only active super admins can access attendee records and exports. There is no attendee account or self-service management link. Contact us for corrections, cancellation or withdrawal of optional consent.
You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict, or stop using your personal information. You can also change or withdraw your analytics and advertising consent at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the website footer or the registration page footer; withdrawing takes effect on the click, and is exactly as easy as agreeing. We ask again after 180 days in any case. To make a request, email contact@hoppers.kr.
We do not intentionally collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will review the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the festival or its services change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
